Recently there has been some confusion regarding another organization with a similar name to ours. Aging Well and AgeWell Pittsburgh are not the same organization. Please be sure to read literature carefully as not to confuse the two when seeking services for older adults.
Aging Well is a collaboration of the PA Association of the Area Agencies on Aging (P4A) that have formed an LLC for the sole purpose of contracting with the Department of Human Services to conduct level of care determinations (assessments) for PA’s older citizens. Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in PA, serve as community designers and builders of support systems that enable older people to be active and vital in their communities. AAAs also serve as a gatekeeper, providing assessment and options as alternatives to costly institutionalization.
