ACCESS is a door-to-door, advance reservation, shared-ride transportation service provided throughout the Port Authority Transit’s service area primarily serving senior citizens.
CURRENTLY ON HOLD FOR COVID 19. AgeWell Rides is a volunteer-based transportation system for people ages 60 or over who do not drive and provides a way for seniors to get to medical appointments, go grocery shopping, do some volunteer work, or attend social events in the community while at the same time making a friendly new acquaintance.
Elder Express- restarting September 9. 2021
Elder Express is a regularly scheduled van service in Squirrel Hill for seniors ages 65 years and older who live in the 15217 zip code area to assist them in getting out for day-to-day activities and to remain active in the community. The stops on the schedule are meant to be useful to older adults who would like to get to the shops, social activities, and educational programs.

Getting around easily is very important to people of all ages and especially older adults who may no longer drive. Consumers can easily register with AgeWell for various options for older adult transportation, including Access, Older People Transportation, and Senior Bus Passes – which are free to residents 65+.
Port Authority Bus Passes
FREE Port Authority Transit Bus Passes are available for seniors ages 65 years and older. Bus passes now require a Photo and can be accessed through your local state representative or downtown at the Port Authority.
