J Cafe Congregate Lunch
J Cafe Congregate Lunch at AgeWell at the JCC
Building on the idea that social eating is healthier eating, the J Cafe is a kosher congregate meal program for Allegheny County residents age 60+. The program was designed to ensure that everyone age 60+ gets a freshly prepared, nutritious meal at low or no cost (suggested donation of $1.50) while also making sure that people don’t have to eat alone. The program is partially funded by the Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging (ACAAA) and is available Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (excluding some holidays).
To join, you must be 60+ years old, an Allegheny County resident, and registered with AgeWell at the JCC with proof of age and residence.
The JCC is under the supervision of the VAAD.
