VOOM! Challah Baking for Rosh Hashanah for the SHCFP
September 7, 2017
The Volunteer Center of Pittsburgh has teamed up with Deena Ross and Moishe Siebzener from Creative Kosher, who are generously donating their kitchen, time and supplies to help us with this project. The Squirrel Hill Community Food Pantry serves more than 850 people every year. This year, we can help ensure that every Rosh Hashanah table includes a fresh, made with love, kosher challah.
As in past years there will be volunteer shifts throughout the day to accommodate various schedules. Three of the shifts will be making, baking, and bagging while the final shift will be wrapping, packing, and transporting. You must register for a shift to participate in this opportunity!
