Everyone benefits from fresh produce and low income seniors in Allegheny County can access it more easily though the voucher program. This event will provides eligible seniors with checks that can be redeemed for the purchase of fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs from approved farmers’ markets. Checks are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on the designated distribution day for each county. Each eligible recipient receives four $5.00 checks to redeem at a qualified farmers’ markets or roadside stands.
