Counseling and Psychiatry

Older adults are not immune to changes in mood and other mental health issues as they age. AgeWell Pittsburgh therefore offers psychotherapy and psychiatric services to seniors who could benefit from such programs. Our therapists are all licensed clinical social workers who specialize in issues older adults find themselves dealing with, from retirement to loss of a spouse, from downsizing their home of many years to chronic illness. Our board certified psychiatrist is also a geriatric specialist and provides medication management for our psychotherapy clients, as needed. This ongoing service has no time limitations and is usually covered by Medicare and other health insurances such as UPMC, Highmark, and Aetna.
