Chair Yoga

Yoga in a chair is more beneficial than one might imagine. Generally speaking, most people who wish to participate can! “Seniors may be able to get more out of yoga than most students. Since the brain’s two hemispheres are used more equally as we age, we can bring a better overall awareness to yoga, thus utilizing the mind-body connection more effectively than younger students.”
Chair yoga may be the way to go for many seniors who may not be as comfortable or physically fit practicing yoga as some more experienced or younger yogis. Chair yoga is beneficial for those of us with balance concerns, or if we are moving slower in general.
