Recipe for Slow Cooker Beef Ribs
Ketchup and tomato paste are good sources of lycopene, an anti-oxidant that has been shown to help prevent cancers. Eat more tomato products and watermelon to boost your levels!
1 cup water
1 cup ketchup
1 6 oz can tomato paste
¾ cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons prepared mustard
1 Tablespoon salt
2 pounds beef back ribs (can also use short ribs)
Mix all sauce ingredients together and place in the slow cooker. Put the ribs in the sauce, mix to coat and cover. Set the slow cooker for 8 hours on low.
