AgeWell Visits
AgeWell Visits is a volunteer-based friendly visitor program in which volunteers visit with senior hosts (age 65 and over) in the hosts’ own homes. These visits combat loneliness and isolation, which in turn keep older adults more connected and healthier while remaining independent. The one hour visits often happen monthly, and the volunteers include families with young children, high school students, and adults of all ages.
AgeWell Visits is an ongoing service with visits provided 7 days a week by volunteers as available in the East End of Pittsburgh primarily, including Oakland, Squirrel Hill, and Shadyside .There is no cost associated with this program as private foundations, donors, and the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania help support our initiatives.
