AgeWell Reads
Currently we are not enrolling new participants, but if you have any questions, call us at 412-422-0400.
AgeWell Reads is for older adults who are enrolled in AgeWell Visits and who may not be able to get out of their homes easily. Participants can receive books from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, selected for them by their own personal CLP librarian. The books are then delivered to their homes by one of our AgeWell Visits volunteers. When books are ready to be returned to the library, a volunteer will pick them up and return them. Seniors read at their own pace – we just do the leg work! AgeWell Reads is an ongoing service with book deliveries provided 7 days a week by volunteers as available in the East End primarily, including Oakland, Shadyside, and Squirrel Hill. There is no cost associated with the program as funders such as private foundations, donors, and the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania help support our initiatives.

A volunteer will then pick up the books and bring you new ones. You can also call your librarian to let them know what you thought about the books he or she may have chosen!
